Please nominate a candidate(s) in one or more of the categories below by completing this form. The selected honorees will be recognized at DAWN's Make Equality Bloom Annual Brunch Fundraiser.

Nominations must be submitted by September 6, 2026.

Following the nomination period, DAWN members will be invited to vote for their choice in each award category from September 7–14, 2026. Voting is limited to current DAWN members, with each member casting one vote in each category.

For each nominee, please include:

  • Nominee's name

  • Organization, position, or community affiliation (if applicable)

  • Award category

  • Why this nominee deserves the award — 200 words maximum. Tell us what makes your nominee stand out and describe the impact of their work. Please include one or two specific examples of their leadership, advocacy, organizing, service, or accomplishments that demonstrate how they embody the purpose of the award. We are most interested in what they have done, the difference they have made, and the people or communities their work has impacted. Please do not submit or copy and paste a résumé or full biography. Your nomination statement will be shared with DAWN members as part of the voting process.

Equality & Justice Award
Honors an individual or organization whose leadership, advocacy, or public service has made a meaningful impact in advancing equality and justice, including reproductive freedom and bodily autonomy.

DAWN Legacy Volunteer Award
Honors a dedicated DAWN member or volunteer whose extraordinary commitment and service have made a lasting impact on DAWN and its mission.

Rising Organizer Award
Honors an emerging activist or organizer who brings people together, inspires action, builds community power, and represents the next generation of movement leadership.

GEM Award — Greatly Enlightened Male
Honors a man who consistently uses his voice, influence, and actions to champion women, advocate for women's leadership and rights, and advance gender equality.
